Fable Legends Coming On PC, CrossPlay With XB1, Uses DX12

Phil Spencer just announced the PC version of Fable Legends, which was subsequently demonstrated on the Windows 10 Media Briefing stage. The game will feature cross-play with the Xbox One version, and it will use DirectX 12 on Windows 10 to get maximum performance and quality; it’s not yet clear if DirectX 12 will be used on Xbox One as well.
Not much more has been said about Fable Legends, but Spencer added that Windows 10 will feature an Xbox App allowing gamers to record and share video footage from any Windows game with their Live friends. Finally, Xbox One owners will be able to stream their games to Windows 10 PCs and tablets. It looks like Spencer is making good on his promise that Microsoft will support gaming on both Xbox & Windows PC.
Fable Legends is scheduled for a generic 2015 launch, although we’ll surely get more details during E3 in June. Interestingly, the latest post on the official Xbox News site hints that Fable Legends is just the first in a series of major game franchises by Microsoft Game Studios coming to Windows 10; it looks like they’ll have more to share on this topic in the coming months, so stay tuned!
