Spencer Teases Most First Party Games On Both XB1 & PC

During a live GDC 2015 session titled The Future of Gaming Across the Microsoft Ecosystem, Phil Spencer reportedly teased that most games by Microsoft Game Studios will eventually be available on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC; this echoes the statement from official blog Xbox Wire that more major franchises by Microsoft Game Studios would be following the example of Fable Legends and land on Windows 10 PC.

He added that long term success of Microsoft relies a lot on first party games, and now the team is unified behind the quest to deliver the best possible gaming platform across all gaming devices.

Spencer went on highlighting that for the first time, all the different components at Microsoft are coming together for gaming. Finally, he concluded saying that they’re committed to making Windows 10 the best operating system for gamers and gamers.

Earlier in the session, Spencer announced that Elite: Dangerous (which we have reviewed on PC already) will arrive on Xbox One this Summer, while Gigantic (a mashup of MOBA, shooter and action RPG) will be available as a crossplay title on both Windows 10 and Xbox One later this year; Gigantic will be Free to Play, though on Xbox One the Xbox Live Gold subscription will be required as usual. In a press release, Motiga CEO Chris Chung said:

It’s gratifying to see our partners at Microsoft express the same enthusiasm for Gigantic that Motiga and our community have felt all along. The game itself made this collaboration happen, and we can’t wait to get Gigantic in as many gamers’ hands as possible.
