Watch Dogs Has 40 Driving Contracts, 100 Minigames

Ubisoft finally lifted the veil on Watch Dogs, and floods of new information are coming through. Gamersyde has some excellent new footage and interview with Creative Director Jonathan Morin, who nailed some of the specifics regarding in-game activities.

I think we have about forty contracts that are more focused on driving for the players who like to push this aspect of the game.

Moreover, there are apparently many, many mini games for you to enjoy - about a hundred, in fact.

Added to that we have quite a good amount of mini games. We have the drinking game, more classic city games, poker, chess, we have a very puzzle-like version of chess (quite challenging). I think more than 100.

And there’s also the shell game that’s really about observation and the guy cheats like in real life, so that you have to be very careful about what’s happening. It can help a lot to make money. And then we also have the more crazy games on the phone using augmented reality, there are two of them. We also have the digital trips. The huge spidey that people have seen today, and the people with their head on fire, that’s two digital trips we have.

Aiden can concentrate by listening to questionable sound waves that will trigger hallucinations in his brain, and it allows us to go much further in the cyberpunk side. You’ve seen two today that were in the trailer, but there are more that we won’t mention for the moment.

There also many different collectibles and all of them are linked to proper gameplay sequences.

So these are a few elements and I won’t talk about the collectibles, since there are a lot of them. And there is always some gameplay linked ot these, it’s not just a collection of items without any sort of recurring challenge.

It definitely seems like Morin is keeping his promise about Watch Dogs being the deepest, while not the biggest, open world game ever. Only a month separates us from the release date now, and we’ll have a lot more on the game soon, so stay tuned to find out; in the meantime, you can check this newly published trailer about online multiplayer below.
