PS4 Exclusive The Tomorrow Children Moved To Summer Window

It looks like we’ll have to wait some more time before playing The Tomorrow Children. This PlayStation 4 exclusive by Q-Games was tentatively pinned for a Spring release during the PlayStation Experience event, however James McLaren (Director of Engine Technology) indirectly confirmed that the team is now targeting Summer in its massive presentation at GDC 2015 (now available here, but beware, it’s 180 pages long!).

We’ve previously covered The Tomorrow Children and its technological advancements for Async Compute and Cascaded Voxel Cone Tracing, but if you’re interested in those techniques than you should really read the presentation as it explains them in a very detailed way.

 

As for the game itself, it’s likely that this small delay is due to some changes brought to Q-Games’ attention by the alpha test. The Tomorrow Children remains an extremely interesting game both in regards to gameplay and tech; stay tuned for more.
