Flying Wild Hog Working On UE4 Fantasy FPS For PC/PS4/XB1

It seems like Polish developer Flying Wild Hog, which we interviewed a few months ago, is now working on a brand new IP. The information comes out of a job posting spotted by Neogaf user MrSilentGuy; it looks like the game will be a fantasy FPS powered by Unreal Engine 4, as experience with projects using UE3/4 is listed as a bonus for the position.
Flying Wild Hog has recently worked on Hard Reset, the remake of Shadow Warrior (which we have reviewed on both PC and PlayStation 4) and JUJU. While JUJU is a platformer, both Hard Reset and Shadow Warrior are well received FPS titles, which is a testament to the developer’s expertise in this genre. It’s been quite a long time since we got a proper fantasy FPS - the last great one was likely Arkane Studios‘ Dark Messiah of Might and Magic; there’s already Techland‘s Hellraid in development now, which means that there might be soon be some healthy competition between the two Polish developers.
Moreover, there’s also Underworld Ascendant (currently on a Kickstarter campaign), the spiritual successor to Ultima Underworld I & II; we’ll have more on this game soon thanks to an interview with the devs.
Regarding Flying Wild Hog’s title, we may get an announcement with some actual information at E3 or Gamescom 2015; stay tuned for more on this project.
