Rainbow Six Siege Closed Alpha Signup Available; PC To Be Lead Platform
Ubisoft announced yesterday that they’re preparing a Rainbow Six Siege Closed Alpha, and everyone interested can already sign up on the official website (a UPlay account is required). The download will be somewhere around 7/8 GB and the minimum PC requirements have been revealed as well:
OS: Windows 7, 8, 8.1, x64
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-8120 Eight-Core
CPU Speed: 3.3 GHz (Recommended), 2.6 GHz (Minimum)
RAM: 8 GB
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 / R9 280 X
VRAM: 2 GB
Don’t worry though, as it was specified that the final requirements will be lower as the optimization process is still ongoing. The countries eligible to the Closed Alpha are:
- United States of America, Canada, Ireland, United Kingdom, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Liechtenstein, Andorra, Russia (Western)
Ubisoft even provided the location of data centers during the Closed Alpha: there will be one in Iowa (USA) and another one in Netherlands. All of this makes us hopeful to actually see the full release game in late 2015; stay tuned for more on Rainbow Six Siege.
