Bloodborne’s Chalice Dungeon Reportedly Yields Low Rewards

From Software surprised everyone when it announced that Bloodborne would feature a procedurally generated dungeon, titled Chalice Dungeon, with the intention of further increasing the game’s longevity. The first impressions on the Chalice Dungeon have been shared yesterday by an early owner who was able to get the game in Toronto, a few days ago; he praised the feature, but he also pointed out that right now rewards for completing this optional dungeon are minimal.

I managed to beat the first chalice dungeon. The third and final dungeon boss was in fact the Ancient Wardog. Really like this guy, looks so cool with nice flame effects.

Great concept of procedurally generated dungeons, as there are some really cool monsters and hard ones too. Problem is the only loot I was able to find in my first chalice dungeon was either blood vials, bullets, or more chalice ritual materials. I mean I just beat the whole dungeon with many traps, hard enemies, and 3 fricking bosses. Not one weapon, gun, or even an attire as a reward? I got another chalice for my reward which is great as I can create more dungeons. But “From” better step up the rewards for these things. The best part of these dungeons are the unique enemies and the boss fights. Also the traps. Soo cool. Sen’s fortress vibe! The worst part so far is definitely the end reward.

A proper final reward would probably highly increase the likelihood of players doing the Chalice Dungeon as many times as From Software hopes. Luckily, this seems exactly like the kind of change that can be easily done via patch.
