Heroes VII Wants You to Choose What Factions To Include

Heroes of Might and Magic VII is asking you to choose what else will appear in the game.

As it has always been in the series, Heroes VII will feature numerous factions for you to choose between and do battle with. These factions all have different troops to recruit, heroes to hire and cities to build, and have completely different playstyles.

So far, four factions have been revealed for Heroes VII, including the European influenced ‘Haven’, a holy empire of knights and priests. The other factions are ‘Academy’, an Arabic based wizard society with genies, as well as ‘Stronghold’ a united group of barbarian Orcish and inhuman tribes, and ‘Necropolis’ a splinter group from the ‘Academy’ who worship death.

But the Heroes VII intend to add two more factions, which you get to decide. Go online here and join the shadow council. Right now the voting is open between the ‘Sylvan’ elves or the ‘Fortress’ dwarves. Voting will take place over the next 24 days and the faction with the highest percentage of votes will be included in the final game.

The votes for the sixth and final faction to be included in the launch of the Heores VII has yet to be revealed, but fans of the series have a lot of theories on what the choices might be, including underground based civilisations, swamp based creatures and hell itself. It is not clear whether or not any other factions will be added post launch.

Heroes of Might and Magic VII will be a sequel following on from Heroes V (as Heroes VI was prequel) and following the Duke Ivan as he sets to create a council that puts an end to a crippling civil war. Each faction will join his council and recount stories of great heroes of their past in the hope they will inspire greatness within him.

Heroes VII is set for release on PC.
