Holidays are really close now, and the developers are acknowledging it in various ways. Some are adding specific items or missions with a Christmas vibe in their games; in other cases, such as for unreleased titles, a magnificent video like this Project CARS teaser trailer will more than suffice.

Project CARS is basically the equivalent in the racing genre of Star Citizen. It has been entirely crowdfunded (in fact, CARS actually stands for Community Assisted Racing Simulator) and has been in development with the help of the community, which has been providing critical feedback on the game. Also, those who have bought specific “Tool Packs” will even get 70% of game sales profits generated in the first two years after launch.

 

 

The developer, Slightly Mad Studios (known for Need for Speed: Shift and Shift 2: Unleashed), recently cancelled the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. Project CARS will now be released on PC (Windows and SteamOS), Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and WiiU during Q3/Q4 2014.
