A Persona event in Japan ended with the highly anticipated announcement that Persona 5 is indeed real and is coming to PlayStation 3 exclusively in Japan 2014.
The game was announced alongside this wonderfully weird teaser:
Although certainly not the fifth game in the Persona franchise, Persona 5 will be the fifth in the Shin Megami Tensei series. Not much is known about the game as of yet- including whether it’s coming the West, or whether it’ll come to PS4- but for now here’s the Persona 5 official website to supplement you.
