Insider “thuway“, who has spilled many rumors turned out to be true regarding PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the last few months, just stated on Neogaf that Ni No Kuni 2 PS4 is “in the pipeline” of JRPGs coming to Sony‘s new console, along with Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III from Square Enix, plus new entries in the Tales franchise from Namco.
Ni No Kuni, developed for Nintendo DS and PlayStation 3 by Level-5 and Studio Ghibli, was acclaimed as one of the best JRPGs after the (PS3 only) Western release earlier this year. The game sold 1,4 million copies worldwide as of last August, and a sequel is highly anticipated among fans. PlayStation 4 seems a natural fit after the success on PlayStation 3, although of course this is far from official and should be treated as a rumor.
