Elder Scrolls publisher Bethesda Softworks has announced a game of the year edition for Dishonored will release next month.
From GameSpot to MSNBC and CNN, Dishonored has claimed more than 100 game of the year awards. It was also named the best action/adventure game and best game of 2012 by BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts).
The Dishonored: Game of the Year Edition includes the game with all of the previous downloadable content, including Brigmmore Witches, Dunwall City Trials, Knife of Dunwall and Void Waler’s Arsenal. Each piece of DLC costs around $29 if purchased with the game.
In Dishonored, players assumed the role of Corvo, a royal assassin who has been framed for murdering the Empress. Corvo embarks on a journey to clear his name and save the Empress’ daughter Emily. Using supernatural powers combined with steampunk-like weapons, players are presented with the option to use stealth or go on an all out battle. The choices of combat ultimately affects the game’s outcome.
Dishonored: Game of the Year Edition is set to release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC for $39.99. It will be available on Oct. 8 in North American and Oct. 11 for Europe.
