The spirit-haunted Lambert family maybe has problems with ghosts, but they know for sure how making money. The first Insidious by James Wan back in 2010 on a budget of $1.5 million was able to make $97 million at the worldwide box office, and this weekend the horror sequel Insidious Chapter 2 has made another great opening of $41.1 million, and at the end it will probably be able to gain more than the first chapter (the budget this time was of $5 million, still very cheap).
Second place this week for Luc Besson’s comedy The Family with $14.5 million while Riddick (past week’s winner) is now in third position with $7 million.
