Penny Dreadful: Billie Piper joins the show

The great cast of the upcoming horror TV series Penny Dreadful featuring Josh Hartnett, Eva Green, Timothy Dalton, Rory Kinnear, Harry Treadaway and Reeve Carney today is ready to welcome a new entry, Doctor Who‘s Billie Piper. She is joining the cast to play an Irish immigrant trying to escape her dark past.
Other news from today is that UK’s Sky Atlantic is going to co-produce the series along with Showtime.
Penny Dreadful created by John Logan will feature some of literature’s most famously terrifying characters, including Dr. Frankenstein and his creature, Dorian Gray and iconic figures from the novel Dracula in a Victorian London, and it will air around mid-2014.
