Role offered to David Bowie in Hannibal season 2

Bryan Fuller’s crime/horror series Hannibal is very stylish and full of interesting faces, and the musician David Bowie will probably be just great in a role in this show.
These must have been the thoughts of Fuller, whose revealed that he’s offered to Bowie a role in the second season of NBC‘s series, as an important character:
“We have reached out to David Bowie to see if he’s interested and available. We would love for him to play Hannibal’s uncle, who is a character from the literature and in the books. We don’t have an answer from Bowie yet”.
