Another weekend is over, and Neill Blomkamp’s sci-fi action Elysium with Matt Damon and Jodie Foster opened as the number one at US Box Office, grossing $30.5 million. This result is not bad, but however is under the studio’s predictions.
We’re the Millers, Planes and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters are the weekend’s other three new releases, and they come respectively after Elysium with 26.6, 22.5 and 14.6 million dollars.
Last weekend’s winner, the action movie 2 Guns, is now in fifth place.
