A tweet sent a few hours ago from Respawn Entertainment‘s official account could hint that Titanfall may be compatible with the Oculus Rift at some point. Apparently, the development studio just received their kit and claim to be “very excited” about it.
Titanfall, a multiplayer centric first person shooter published by Electronic Arts, garnered public attention at E3 2013 with its first proper unveiling, not to mention several awards. The game will be released in Spring 2014 for Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC, although a PlayStation 4 release is not ruled out indefinitely.
The Oculus Rift, on the other hand, does not have a firm release date yet, at least for the consumer market; many developers are implementing its SDK into their games now, though, and we should hear more soon. Chances are, we’ll be able to try the new Full HD visor at Gamescom; stay tuned.
