Tomb Raider movie reboot gets a writer

Marti Noxon, the fan beloved woman responsible for Buffy the Vampire Slayer screenplay (as well as Prison Break, Mad Men and others) was contacted by MGM today to write the script for the untitled Tomb Raider movie reboot. We still don’t know when the new big screen adaptation is going to happen, but pre-production is starting. Which actress will be the new Lara (previously played by Angelina Jolie)?
