H1Z1 Early Access Date To Be Announced On Monday

Sony Online Entertainment‘s President John Smedley announced a few hours ago via Twitter that the H1Z1 Early Access date will be announced on Monday, at long last. The game was originally scheduled to enter Early Access much earlier in 2014, but ultimately the studio decided to release a more feature complete and stable build of the game, and Smedley said to be happy about it.

I’m personally glad for this choice, as too many Early Access games are really pre-alpha projects that shouldn’t be ready for consumption. H1Z1 could be the zombie MMO that many have been waiting for, and as everyone knows the first impression is critical; hopefully we can look forward to a relatively bug-free build.

The following tweet by Smedley could also hint that a test phase for H1Z1 might be coming on PlayStation 4 at a later date:
