More Info On Driveclub Weather Patch Soon; Future Update To Enable Private Lobby

Evolution Studios is working hard to fix the issues the have plagued Driveclub since launch, while at the same time keeping the community up to date with their plans. Amidst many dozens of tweets published just today, a couple were very interesting as it was announced that more information will be shared on the Driveclub weather patch very soon (likely at PlayStation Experience in December).

It’s good to know that Driveclub weather is still scheduled for this year, as it looks just fantastic from what we’ve seen so far. The team also confirmed that players will be able to create their own private lobby in Driveclub, although this will be only introduced in a future update after all the issues have been solved.

A new post on the official Facebook page was also posted a little over an hour ago, stating that the premium DLC packs for November (going live on 25/26/27 for SCEA/SCEE/SCEJ, respectively) will be offered for free, for a total of five new cars, 22 new tour events, 10 new trophies and 10 new livery items. Next Tuesday will also mark a new Driveclub update, adding the Photo Mode, three new tracks (Yedepalli, India; Wester Ross, Scotland; Los Pelambres, Chile) and the following changes/fixes:

• Improved multiplayer collision physics to reduce frustrating spin-outs
• Adjustments to soften the corner cutting penalty system
• Options in the club menu to view everything your club has unlocked
• A fix to allow all club owners to update their club badges
