Schofield: Full Activision Weight on COD: AW Issues, But Most Players Don’t Have Any

Yesterday, we reported that many COD: AW players were quite unhappy about the lack of dedicated servers, which coupled to lag spikes already led to an ongoing petition. Just a few minutes ago, Glen Schofield (Studio Head, Chief Creative Officer and Co-Founder of Sledgehammer Games) finally gave an update on the situation, stating that “the full weight of Activision” is onto it, although tracking these things is not quite easy.

However, Schofield then added that most people aren’t having lag issues at all.

Considering the raw amounts of complaints all over the Web, I find Schofield’s statement quite hard to believe, although of course I don’t have any date, unlike them. Still, it’s good that they have at least acknowledged the problem and are actively working onto it; historically, early fixes for multiplayer games are critical, otherwise gamers gradually move onto other titles.
