GTAV Next Gen Input Lag Reportedly Fixed In Latest Update

GTAV Next Gen released a few weeks and it was praised pretty much everywhere (including here). However, some of the more attentive gamers spotted an increased input lag in comparison to the last gen version, sparking a heated discussion on Neogaf.

A gif was also posted to further illustrate the issue at hand; the second is a slowed version of the first one.

Rockstar Games could have very well ignored this issue, but they didn’t and today user Lukas Japonicus reported that the latest update added many options to configure deadzone, acceleration and more; as a whole, gameplay should feel much better although input lag hasn’t been completely defeated yet.

Oh man, it feels so much better to play now. I turned the dead-zone all the way down and the camera moves after barely touching the right stick.

It’s so much more responsive now. Finally, I’ll be able to pull off headshots on purpose, instead of it being mostly pot-luck. It’s still not quite perfect, and there’s still delay in the buttons…but it’s a lot better than it was yesterday. I actually feel like I have control over where my reticule goes now.

It also appears like the bushes actually move a bit now.

All of this shows that Rockstar still cares for its users, even well over a year after the original launch. With the PC version coming in January and Heists announced for early 2015, it looks like Grand Theft Auto V will still be on the radar of many gamers for some time.
