Far Cry 4 PvP Mode Detailed

Ubisoft has finally released details regarding Far Cry 4 PvP mode ‘Battles of Kyrat’, along with some screenshots and a trailer. As we speculated earlier, there will be two factions to choose from: Pagan Min’s elite guard, the Rakshasa, and the Golden Path rebellion. Each faction has its own perks and weapons to use.

The Rakshasa is known for their bond with nature and that is why The Rakshasa’s inventory includes some basic weapons such as a Bow with the capability of modding it through attaching crafted iterations to it. They can also call animals to to help in both defending and attacking situations.

However, the Golden Path rebellion is the exact opposite as they focus on tech-based warfare through using weapons such as assault rifles, shotguns, and multiple explosives and they also have the privilege of access to bell towers making it easier to spot enemies coming from far away and sniping them down one by one. They will also be able to ride vehicles which makes it easier for them to move around the map.

There will be a total of three modes, Outpost, Propaganda and Demon Mask. First, Outpost will have the Golden Path faction trying to build an outpost in a certain region while the Rakshasa has to attack them and deny them from building it. Second, Propaganda is almost the opposite of Outpost as this time The Golden Path has to destroy three Pagan Min installations while the Rakshasa has to defend them. Finally, the Demon Mask mode is much simpler and is a capture-the-flag mode, but instead of the flag, you need to attain the Demon Mask and return it to your base.

Far Cry 4 PvP mode consists of:

  • 5v5 round-based matches.
  • Asymmetrical gameplay where the players take on each faction. The team with the best overall performance on both wins the match.
  • 20 minutes average match length.
  • 10 maps at launch.

Far Cry 4 releases on November 18th in North America and on November 20th in Europe for PS4, PS3, PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
