Mirror’s Edge 2 will feature refined first person combat

I am sure you have at least heard of Mirrors Edge, the critically acclaimed but not very commercially successful First Person game focusing on free running across rooftops and inside giant skyscrapers. You haven’t, well its not that surprising, the game wasn’t marketed very well and went sort of under the radar. You should jump on the bandwagon though because the next game in the series, Mirror’s Edge 2, is setting out to fix the problems of the first game.  In a recent interview DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson stated the following.

“What I can say is that if the last game focussed on first-person movement, it was definitely shown in the movie here that the DICE team will be focussing on first-person combat as well, to really nail and refine that”.

This is good because the one aspect that critics of the original game disliked was the stiff and awkward first person combat.

mirrors-edge-2_4 Mirror’s Edge 2 is shaping up to be one of the hottest games of 2015, with it being open world and having improved free running and combat. 2015 will be a hard year for us and our wallets (I can already feel it hurting).
