Lords of the Fallen PC/PS4 Comparison

Thanks to CI Games, we were able to play Lords of the Fallen on both PC & PlayStation 4. In case you’re undecided regarding which version to choose, we’ve compared a few screenshots from the very first level, making an effort to grab them in the exact same situations. I’ve taken the screenshots from a configuration with i7 3770 and GTX 780Ti; the first screenshot will be always from the PC version, with PS4 following below. Click to view in full size.
Notice that the PS4 image is more blurred, especially if you look at the shoulder armor, which has additional detail on PC. This is pretty much the main difference that you’ll see, along with a cleaner image quality on PC:
This particular screenshot shows a particularly striking difference, more so than others.
Here the difference is less noticeable, but you can still see how the sword is a lot more jagged on PS4.
Even in the last screenshot, the difference is the same. We can appreciate how, while the additional detail on PC is more evident on plate armor (as expected), even Kaslo’s robes are clearly better looking.
Overall, though, Lords of the Fallen remains a beautiful game on both platforms and coming fairly close to PC graphics powered by components at around $/€ 1000 with a hardware priced at $/€ 399 is definitely a testament to PlayStation 4’s hardware strength. Regardless of your platform, though, you should play the game if you’re a fan of the genre, as I explained in our review.
