Star Wars Battlefront Will Launch Simultaneously to Episode VII, December 2015

EA has stated in the latest earnings call that the publisher will release Star Wars Battlefront simultaneously with the movie series’ latest entry, Star Wars Episode VII.
This movie will be a homecoming for the series’ as it’s the first movie that is released after 2005′s Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. The movie was scheduled to hit cinemas during the summer of 2015 but they delay its release a bit further, which made the final decision to be December 2015.
EA’s Patrick Soderlund stated they are willing to release the game near the movie’s release. Although, he said that the game isn’t “directly” tied to the events that will be featured in the movie, but “there will be things in there somewhat tied to the new movie.”
“As it relates to Star Wars, we‘ve shown parts from the game today, so you know that what we’re building is more rooted in the traditional Star Wars universe and not so much necessarily linked to the movies being made. And that’s just because we wanted to make a game that celebrated the history of Star Wars,” he said.
“Obviously there will be things in there that are somewhat tied to the new movie. I wouldn’t say that we have a particular tie to the movie. Now, obviously we would prefer to be close to the movie, but I wouldn’t say that we’re directly tied to it.”
So now we can expect Star Wars Battlefront to hit stores in December 2015 or around the time for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
