Firefly Online Releases First Trailer

The Firefly Online game has released their first trailer at San-Diego Comic Con. The trailer, ‘If I were Captain’ asks fans of the series what they would do if they captained their own ship in the Firefly Universe.

With that, they also show footage of the things possible in Firefly Online, such as customising your captain and ship, exploring space as well different planets, and getting into combat.

Releasing the trailer on their official website and Facebook page, they also add that:

“Because it’s Firefly, storytelling is paramount. So please forgive us if we like to tell a little story with our gameplay.”

This seems to hint that the upcoming “strategic online role playing game” will have a strong narrative focus.

A live gameplay demo has also been unveiled at the San Diego Comic Con and will be released online this Saturday. Reports from San Diego also state that the entire Firefly cast will make appearances within the game.
