New Mirror’s Edge 2 Concept Art

While DICE is mainly known for their work on the Battlefield franchise, there’s at least another game that hardcore gamers love the studio for: Mirror’s Edge. It wasn’t perfect by any means, but the incredible visual style and exciting parkour system have been an inspiration for many games released after it.

Last year, Electronic Arts announced that they were working on a prequel for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, where players will be shown the origins of Faith, the main character of the series. Apparently, the game will use DICE’s own Frostbite 3 engine (unlike its predecessor, powered by Unreal Engine 3) and it will be open world, a departure from the fixed mission structure of the first entry. However, only a teaser was revealed at E3 2013- you can see it here.

 

Today, the official Facebook account has shared a gorgeous concept art with the tag #E3 2014. In all likelihood, we’ll finally take a look at some gameplay tomorrow during Electronic Arts’ press conference.
