Blueside: PS4 “Best Hardware In Console History”
In our massive interview with Blueside, Executive Producer Sang Youn Lee explained the reasons to move Kingdom Under Fire II from PS3 to PS4, praising Sony’s new system and online policy while adding that Xbox One is not entirely off the table yet.
The official reason for developing on PS4 is that PS4 has the best hardware system in console history and SONY’s marketing policy about online game has many thing fit with our service policy. Also, we thought the machine is well made when we saw PS4 development kits. I like the development environment which is similar to PC and feel that SONY showed lots of careful consideration to developers. About Xbox ONE, we are still considering the chance as well.
He also explained the current control system for PS4, which uses the DualShock 4 touchpad:
In order to make the Hero’s action and troop strategies work effectively, players should use all buttons of DualShock 4. We are under development, at the moment players can control Hero and troops easily with touchpad of DualShock 4.
It is indeed going to be very helpful, given the type of game that Blueside is producing with Kingdom Under Fire II. Going back to the statement regarding PS4, they aren’t the first to say that and at this point, I’m inclined to believe they’re not going to be the last either. Sony really pleased developers all around the world with their hardware/software combination this time.
