The Last of Us Has Won Over 200 GOTY Awards

The annual Game of the Year Awards are finally settling down, and there is a clear winner: The Last of Us. Naughty Dog literally wiped the floor with the competition, figuratively speaking, by winning over 200 GOTY Awards, 163 of which bestowed by the critics and 40 by reader votes.

The only game coming close is Rockstar’s GTA V with 126 (95 critic - 31 reader). Bioshock Infinite only managed to gather 34 awards, Super Mario 3D World just 10, and so on. I guess that you can add one more, since I personally voted for The Last of Us in our own version of the GOTY Awards; funnily, I’ve also put GTA V in the second place.

Needless to say, after The Last of Us I’m thrilled for Naughty Dog’s upcoming Uncharted title: I fully expect it to show the real power of PlayStation 4.
