Mikkelsen’s The Hunt as Foreign Movie Oscar Candidate

Thomas Vinterberg’s The Hunt (original title ‘Jagten’) after being in Cannes 2012 has now been selected as the Foreign Language Oscar submission from Denmark. Mads Mikkelsen stars in the drama and this is the second film in a row starring Mikkelsen to be chosen by Denmark for that honor.
The Hunt tells the story of a teacher who lives a lonely life, struggling over his son’s custody. His life slowly gets better but, suddenly, a lie turns his small town against him and threatens to destroy his life.
