Thor: The Dark World needs a new music composer

It is not a very common issue when producing a movie (usually the main issues are director choice, or casting decisions), but Thor: The Dark World is struggling to find a permanent music composer.

In this news we announced the refusal of Patrick Doyle to sign up (after Thor) for the sequel, and then veteran composer Carter Burwell came into the picture. Now we’re hearing that Burwell - composer of 3 of the Twilight saga episodes, as well as True Grit, The Blind Side, Fargo, and Seven Psychopaths - is leaving the project for “creative differences” according to Marvel Studios.

Now Marvel Studios is on the hunt for a new composer to score the sequel, with a serious time crunch, as Thor: The Dark World is slated to open in theaters November 8, 2013.
