Rainbow Six Siege Getting A Lot More Info Soon

Perhaps the most impressive reveal at E3 2014 was Ubisoft‘s Rainbow Six Siege, shown just at the end of the company’s annual press conference but also available on the showfloor for gameplay sessions. The game, which has a focus on 60FPS gameplay and multiplayer as stated by CEO Yves Guillemot, has been shown once again yesterday on the ever-growing streaming platform Twitch, and shortly after that some fan questions were answered on Twitter.

For example, Community Developer Chase Straight confirmed that Ubisoft intends to divulge a lot more information in the coming months about Rainbow Six Siege.

Hopefully that means launch is definitely happening in 2015; as a major fan of the series, I would hate to wait any more than that. We have all waited enough for another AAA tactical shooter.

The game’s official Twitter account also revealed a couple of tidbits of information. The surveillance drones that can be used by the attackers during Siege mode can definitely be destroyed by defenders; moreover, there had been some controversy regarding the inclusion of a female hostage, and it was confirmed that there will be both male and female NPC hostages from different backgrounds, which should shoot down any kind of debate on this matter.

You can watch the recording of the Rainbow Six Siege live gameplay stream here (starting after twenty minutes or so). Rainbow Six Siege is scheduled for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
