Speaking with Bloomberg TV, Sony Online Entertainment CEO John Smedley confirmed that Planetside 2 PS4 is coming early next year, while DC Universe Online will be available at launch.
Those with a not-so-powerful PC can look forward to it especially since Sony confirmed it will be “on par” with a high end PC (although, incidentally SoE is actually working to improve the performance on PC as well). There won’t be any cross platform play between the PC and PS4 versions of Planetside 2, but users will be able to transfer their character from the PC to PS4 and back, since the characters’ format is the same.
We’ll be sure to take a look at Planetside 2 on PS4 as soon as it becomes available.
