Elder Scrolls Online PC To Console Account Transfer Confirmed

16 January 2015

Consider how popular The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was with the console crowd (which made up the majority of sales for Bethesda), it’s perfectly obvious that Zenimax Online is now working steadily to bring Elder Scrolls Online to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as originally promised. The last official update was brought directly by Game Director Matt Firor in the December Road Ahead post, where he stated  that there’s still some work to do on these versions and the developer wants to include the upcoming Justice and Champion systems before the console release, meaning that Elder Scrolls Online will likely release in either Q2 or Q3 on PS4 & XB1.

In the meantime, though, the official customer support answered a hot topic among gamers, detailing the PC-to-console account transfer.

Players who purchased and activated the PC / Mac game either from The Elder Scrolls Online Store or from a retailer and activated their game code by 6/30/14 (11:59pm UTC) will be able to purchase the console transfer (for $20.00 USD or €14,99 Euro or £12.99 GBP) at a later date and enjoy the full Tamriel experience on console with 30 days of included game time.

It seems like the account transfer won’t be free, although that was probably to be expected. The date is also interesting, 30 June, and it could mean that Elder Scrolls Online will appear on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One shortly afterwards.

For now, though, you can check out our full review; it should be noted that the game has improved since, and the next 1.6 update, due on the Public Test Server later this month, looks gigantic enough to completely reshape many aspects of the game.
