Archeage Has 2 Millions Registered Users

Trion Worlds‘ CEO Scott Hartsman announced in a blog post that Archeage now has two millions of registered users (not counting those in South Korea and Russia, handled by different publishers). Obviously, since the game uses a Free to Play model it’s hard to gauge how many of these are still playing and even harder to understand how much revenue is Trion getting, but the number is impressive nonetheless.

Hartsman also vowed to continue fighting the rampant in-game spamming by gold sellers, announcing that new anti-spam systems are being prepared. Finally, players will be happy to hear that Auroria, the North continent currently blocked, will be available for conquest in “just a handful of weeks”, thus opening many new housing spots for players without a home and fueling the endgame with the guild versus guild wars to conquer castles.

Trion is also working with developer XL Games in order to introduce Western specific festivals and events, such as Halloween, Fall Harvest and more. If you didn’t get a key from our massive giveaway, remember that you can just play the game for free (though there are a few limitations); stay tuned for our own Archeage review.
