KUFII Graphics On PS4 Only Better Than Average PC
Yesterday, we reported the news from a 2P interview with Kingdom Under Fire II Producer Sang Youn Lee, stating that PS4 would have much better graphics than the PC version, with PC users likely to get angry because of this.
This was quite shocking, because even though PS4 is the most powerful console (Sang Youn Lee praised it earlier telling us that it’s the best hardware in console history), a high-end PC can produce equal or better graphics through brute hardware superiority, even though that comes with a higher cost.
We reached out to our friends at Blueside, who clarified that the comment is only valid for average computers, not for high-end ones.
We never compared graphic quality of PS4 with high-end computer.
When we answered to that question, we answered by comparing PS4 with average computers.
This makes a lot more sense, and it falls in line with what we already know - PS4 is very powerful and if you have an average computer, you may well choose PS4 instead, but if you have a high-end PC chances are the game will look the same or even better, as it should. Blueside also wanted to clarify that no PS4 media was released yet.
Also I want to make sure to specify that all released video and pictures of Kingdom Under Fire II was taken by PC platform.
We haven’t released any video or pictures of PS4 platform Kingdom Under Fire II yet.
In our huge interview, they also mentioned that all the PC footage and screenshots released so far were taken with DX9 renderer. So, if you thought that the game looked stunning already, just know that it should be even better looking on DX11 enabled hardware and PS4. The Western beta, coming in early Autumn, is still quite far, but we’ll probably have new KUFII information and screenshots/videos released during E3.
