Uber Entertainment: “Steam Controller is the best”

It looks like those of you who have been skeptical of Valve‘s new Steam Controller should wait a little bit before ruling it out. There’s been nothing but praise so far; we reported the early impressions of Super Meat Boy developer, and now it’s the turn of some of the key members at Uber Entertainment, currently developing Planetary Annihilation, a spiritual sequel to Total Annihilation kickstarted for more than $ 2millions.

As usual, the chatter happened on Twitter. We have compiled the tweets of Software Engineer Forrest Smith, Art Director Chandana Ekanayake and Co-Founder Jon Mavor for you.

This is particularly interesting since historically, controllers haven’t been the best input method to play RTS games like Planetary Annihilation, yet according to Uber Entertainment, this will be possible with the Steam Controller. Personally I can’t wait to get my hands on it, as it would be absolutely great to play with the comfort of a controller and the accuracy of a mouse. I’m sure my wrist agrees with me.
