Carbine‘s first game, Wildstar, will be launching early next year, according to Executive Producer Jeremy Gaffney. The game is already in beta and I witnessed a presentation, which I have fully recorded and will be uploading soon; in the meantime, I thought I’d share this quite interesting tidbit.
Gaffney added that they will take all the time from now to launch in order to polish the game as much as possible. Wildstar has also been confirmed to launch with a significant amount of endgame content, referred by Carbine as “elder game”.
It looks like the first half of next year will see two fresh heavyweights fighting in the MMO space: Wildstar and The Elder Scrolls Online, which I got to play for more than an hour at Gamescom (stay tuned for the hands-on).
