During SOE Live’s keynote, John Smedley gave Everquest and MMORPG fans alike a small tease for Everquest Next, even though the full reveal of the game is scheduled for 12PM Pacific Time (3PM Eastern coast time, 8PM London, 9PM Central Europe) on August 2nd. In fact, Smedley announced that Jeremy Soule will be composing Everquest Next’s soundtrack, and after welcoming him on stage they also played a recording of the main theme (still a work-in-progress), which you can check below.
Jeremy Soule is known to be one of the most successful composers to lend his talent to videogames. His work was featured in masterpieces like Morrowind, Neverwinter Nights, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Guild Wars, Company of Heroes, Oblivion, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Skyrim, Guild Wars 2 and WoW: Mists of Pandaria.
