Battlefield 3 premium reaches 4 million subscribers

The third entry for the widely popular Battlefield series has reached another milestone in its premium subscription service.

 

Electronic Arts (EA) announced it has reached 4 million subscribers during its financial report, which saw a 37.9 percent increase from its report in January.

 

EA also reported making more than $108 million from the Battlefield 3 premium service in January. However, there were no updates regarding how much they earned from this quarter.

 

The Battlefieldpremium edition comes with the game itself and five pieces of downloadable content typically worth $50. The DLC includes with 20 new maps, 20 new weapons, ten new vehicles, and four new game modes.

 

Additionally, EA announced Origin, the publisher’s digital download service, has reached more than 50 million users.
