Fast and Furious 6 on Top of the US Box Office

Obliterating the $70 million opening of Star Trek: Into Darkness, last week‘s box office winner, Fast and Furious 6 sits proudly atop the US Box Office raking in $98.5 million, with predictions that number may hit $122 million by the end of Monday.

The Hangover Part III earned an estimated $42.4 million — roughly half of the $80 million opening its predecessor The Hangover Part II achieved back in 2011 - but still enough for second place, while Star Trek: Into Darkness slipped to third place, earning another $38 million in its second weekend in theaters.
