Star Wars VII hires the Star Trek costume designer

It has been officially announced today by Disney that Michael Kaplan, the man behind the recent Star Trek Into Darkness’ original costume design, will join the production crew of the 2015 Star Wars sequel.

The famed designer (who worked in the past to Blade Runner, Fight Club, and the 2009’s Star Trek) today explained: “I’ve just learned I’ll be working on the new Star Wars movie, again with J.J. Everything just got formalized last week, I haven’t even had the chance to talk to anyone about it all other than to be told ‘welcome aboard.’  It’s a little too soon to know exactly what’s in store but I’m excited, absolutely, to get to work on another prestigious sci-fi series”.
