I thought we should kick this new forum with the hottest topic around.
Personally, I’m really excited about:
- Killzone Shadow Fall - I loved Killzone 2 and if that PlayStation Meeting trailer, with devkits that only had 3 GB (instead of 8), we’re looking to get an absolute stunner. I hope they introduce vehicles in multiplayer as well.
Infamous: Second Son - This looks really amazing to be an open world game. Infamous is a great franchise and the main concept of fighting against an overzealous, spying government is very enticing and contemporary.
The rumored new IPs by Sony Santa Monica/Guerrilla
Dragon Age 3 - I really hope they redeem themselves with this one, and Frostbite 3 certainly can’t hurt.
Star Wars games by EA - Battlefront could be amazing, and the one by Visceral could have a darker tone.
MGS 5 announced for next-gen or at least PC - I can’t believe Konami went to all that trouble to create FOX engine and then it confines it to old-gen.
GTA 5 for next-gen or at least PC - Pretty much the same, that fidelity seen in screenshots can’t be achieved with PS3/360.
Watch Dogs - This game saved last E3 for many people, including me. I look forward to learn about the innovative multiplayer, and perhaps a release date.
Rainbow Six Patriots - It was announced a lot of time ago by Ubisoft, but then they went silent. I really hope it’s coming in the full glory of next gen/PC, I’m a fan of the series.
The Evil Within - I believe in Mikami for the renaissance of the survival horror genre.
Destiny - I loved Bungie, once. Then they lost their touch with Halo 3, at least in my opinion, but Destiny is conceptually amazing if done right. I hope the game showing is more impressive this time around.I also hope that Sony doesn’t follow in Microsoft footsteps with DRM etc.
Of course, there are many more games I’ll be watching but these are the ones I’m most hyped for.
And you?
7 June, 2013 at 19:42 #3184The games I’m really excited about and hope to see at E3 are:
FIFA14-I’m a massive football fan and have been playing FIFA games since FIFA 96, So I’m really excited to see some more trailers on this. I would also like to see if they shed some light on the Xbox One exclusive ultimate team features that where announced at Xbox Ones reveal.
Watchdogs- after seeing little teaser trailers here and there over the past year it was the PS4 launch where they showed off the gameplay trailer that got me really excited for this game.
Thief-I love games that involve you having to use stealth to complete missions and I haven’t really seen a lot about Thief until I wrote a quick news report on Square Enix releasing another trailer for it today and now I’m really excited to see more on it.
Metal Gear solid 5- I love stealth games and have always loved the stories in the metal gear franchise. I hope to see this metal gear game revert back to the more stealth based gameplay unlike the insane chaos of metal gear rising.
Madden 25-I love my American football and I am really excited to the new owners mode in this years instalment.
UFC- When I first heard that EA had bought the rights to the UFC franchise I was a bit disappointed as I found EA’s last attempt at an MMA game, EA sports MMA, to be a really poor showing for this sport, But after seeing the trailer from Xbox ones reveal I am now looking forward to it.
Red Dead Redemption 2-I loved the first red dead redemption game when it was released back in 2006 I think, and I have been looking forward to seeing something about this ever since Rockstar confirmed they where working on a sequel. I’ve seen a few rumours floating around the internet that this years E3 will be the time where Rockstar will finally show off some sort of a trailer for this. Finally I want to see the PS4 console itself.
And in response to Alessio’s post, I don’t know why but I got a bad feeling that Sony are going to be doing a similar thing to Microsoft with the DRM etc. This is a massive thing to do in the gaming world and will literally change the face of the market. I also believe that it would almost end Microsoft’s chances in the next-gen console war if they where the only ones to do it. I really hope I’m wrong about this, but that is what I think will happen.
7 June, 2013 at 20:00 #3187Currently Ps4 is dominating against xbox one. My purchase falls on Ps4, but my idea is that Sony has already shown its most important games, and Microsoft has not yet ….. Hopefully the turning point in this E3 by Microsoft.
7 June, 2013 at 21:57 #3189I’ve heard that finally DayZ (the standalone) will get some love at E3, i’m really curious! Anyway there is tons of stuff worth to check, i’m looking forward to this expo
9 June, 2013 at 16:08 #3216I’m really looking forward to seeing the PS4 and getting more details on it. Microsoft has a PR disaster on their hands since unveiling the Xbox One, so I think it will amusing, if nothing else, to see how they try to patch up that relationship with fans.
Gamewise my interest is highest for MGS5, FIFA14, Rainbow Six, Destiny and I want to know more about these transmedia efforts like Quantum Break for the Xbox One.
Ubisoft now has a rights lawsuit on their hands with AC creator Patrice Desilets, so expect some questions about the future direction of that series after Black Flag is released later this year. I’m looking forward to more info from them on Watch Dogs and Splinter Cell Blacklist (I love me some Splinter Cell).
As a parent, I’ll pay attention to WiiU and what is coming up next from Nintendo, since the kids are just hitting the age for gaming. Sonic is of particular interest there. Wondering if its worth investing in that system for them. We’ve given up on Kinect, which is just god awful.

Didn’t know you were a football fan, Heather! I too am looking for FIFA 14 PS4, unfortunately it seems like EA has deals with Microsoft and Xbox One may have exclusive stuff, although if it’s only for the Ultimate Team mode I don’t care too much.
Black Flag may actually turn out to be nice. I’m a big fan of Splinter Cell as well! Can’t wait for the returns of Spies vs Mercs.12 June, 2013 at 02:00 #3405I’ve heard that finally DayZ (the standalone) will get some love at E3…
Ok, today i watched a 10 minutes gameplay….damn, the game still looks like it’s in alpha…
It looks exactly like months ago, with choppy zombies animations, dead bodies disappearing in walls and ground…Bohemia Interactive let me tell you, i’m disappointed! DayZ has not yet been dated, and it’s moving so slow it looks like zombies are developing it.
