“Halo 5 Is a Badass with Few Tweaks and Very Little Auto-aim”, Ground & Pound Could Be Overpowered
Scott Lussier, a former professional player invested in Halo, has had a chance to experience a bit of the Halo 5: Guardians beta (he watched three games and played three more games). He shared his experience on Twitter and some Halo fans might find his words soothing, after the outrage because of 343 Industries putting ADS in the game.
In short, he describes Halo 5: Guardians as a “badass with few tweaks”, which also has very little auto-aim (probably due to ADS). While some of those tweaks could be overpowered such as Ground and Pound, he says there’ll be plenty of room to outskill people. Climbing feels natural, but it seems thruster range should be reduced. Perhaps the same way how they handled sprinting?
‘I played Halo 5 this past weekend, it’s honestly bad ass with a few tweaks. There is very little auto aim.’
‘I don’t get paid to say my opinion. Thruster range should be reduced. Climbing felt natural. You can out skill people. Just saying.’
‘Smart Scope isn’t ADS. It’s completely different. It’s just the kind of scope’
‘Ground and Pound felt super strong, but with a few tweaks I think it’ll be fine.’
‘You get punished for sprinting (4 second delay on shields recharging) - it should be that way with thruster. Games good.’
‘Halo 5 is not the end of the world. You guys are bashing gameplay of AR start…. that’s not a thing. Wait till you see br start.’
While waiting for more news on the highly anticipated Halo 5: Guardians, be sure not to miss 343 Industries resetting the ranks in Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
