Sony: Early PlayStation Experience List Is Just The Beginning, PS Vita There In “Full Force”

Yesterday, Sony announced an early list of games and developers that will be featured at the PlayStation Experience event via a blog post by Senior Manager Sid Shuman. We’ve embedded the developer overview picture below.

The following games have also been confirmed to be playable at the showfloor:

  • Battlefield: Hardline
  • Big Fest
  • Bloodborne
  • DC Universe Online — War of the Light Part II and Legends PvE Co-Op Missions
  • Destiny Expansion 1: The Dark Below
  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse
  • Dying Light
  • Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series
  • Grim Fandango
  • Helldivers
  • Journey (PS4)
  • Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris
  • Mortal Kombat X
  • PlanetSide 2
  • Tales from the Borderlands
  • Tearaway Unfolded
  • The Order: 1886
  • The Tomorrow Children
  • The Witness
  • Until Dawn

As is often the case with PlayStation blog posts, Shuman sticked around to answer some questions in the comments section, which allowed us to learn a couple more very interesting things: the above lists are apparently just the beginning, and PS Vita users can be assured that the platform will be featured prominently during the event. Both these points were stressed by Shuman multiple times:

PS Vita will be there in full force – the list above is just the beginning. More to come!

Glad you’re stoked – and yep, this is just what we can say right now.

Vita will definitely be there and in a prominent way. Fear not!

As to the major games to be shown and announced, well, there have been a few rumors going around in the past weeks. One about the Ratchet & Clank PS4 remake being demonstrated for the first time (mind you, Insomniac Games isn’t even in the early developer list, but as Shuman stated it’s just preliminary) and the other one about a couple of AAA PlayStation 4 exclusives being announced. Even from that list alone, there are multiple candidates: Sony Santa Monica, from which we have seen nothing so far on PlayStation 4; Sony San Diego, which published MLB 14: The Show in May but has been rumored to be doing another title as well; Guerrilla Games, which is known to be working on a brand new IP, and perhaps even Sucker Punch, although Infamous: Second Son is quite recent and they may just show some other DLC instead.

What are you personally looking forward the most to see at PlayStation Experience?
