Evolve wins ‘Best Game of Show’ from E3

Out of the six games available for the title, Evolve, by Turtle Rock Studios has won the illusive prize of ‘Best of Show’. Evolve, made by the original creators of Left 4 Dead is a multiplayer game featuring 4 Human Hunters vs one human controlled monster. To be eligible to win, the game must have been playable on the show floor, giving the 39 publications that vote for the awards the chance to try it for themselves.

The other nominations for ‘Best of Show’ were Alien: Isolation, Batman Arkham Knight, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, No Man’s Sky and Rainbow Six: Siege.

Evolve went on to win ‘Best Online Multiplayer’, ‘Best Action Game’ as well as ‘Best Console Game’ securing its interest until its release in October. Last year the same set of prizes was awarded to Titanfall. While runner up No Man’s Sky won ‘Best Original Game’, ‘Best Independent Game’ and a ‘Special Commendation for Innovation’. Other contenders for Best of Show instead won Best Action/Adventure Game for Batman Arkham Knight and Best PC Game for Rainbow Six: Siege.
