Destiny Alpha Extended Amid “Dangerous Experiments”

The PlayStation 4 exclusive public Alpha build of Bungie and Activision’s hugely anticipated Destiny Alpha has been extended for an unspecified amount of time to “allow dangerous experiments”. A tweet from developer Bungie’s official Twitter account stated the following;

There’s a rumor that the Alpha might be extended to allow dangerous experiments. Play beyond the official close at your own risk!

Bungie has not gone into further details about the length of the extension to the Alpha, which was due to end last night, nor given any specifics about the kinds of “dangerous experiments” we might see. One thing is for sure - if you have the Alpha, log back in and enjoy it some more before it does officially close, but keep an eye out for these experiments.

Bungie could potentially do any number of things as part of its “experiments” such as showcase new enemies, drop boss enemies into the playable Old Russia area or even give us a sneak peak at upgrades, weapons or vehicles by randomly dropping them into the world for players to run havoc. The Destiny Alpha is already great, so log back in and let us know in the comments if you come across any of Bungie’s “experiments”.
