Insider: Drought In Fall, 2014 “Transition Year”

Insider thuway continues to speak about an upcoming drought in Fall 2014, while mentioning 2014 as a year of transition.

This includes E3 2014, which he already labeled as a “warm-up” show. Apparently, from what he was able to gather, the biggest games presented there won’t be available before 2015/2016 for the most part, while we should expect a lot of “remastered” editions.

He then clarified that this isn’t because developers are lazy or something like that, but rather because the toolsets are only just beginning to blossom. The fruits of their hard labor will be shown next year, mostly.

What do you make of this? I really hope that most games currently scheduled for Fall 2014 don’t get delayed, at least, or this could turn out to be the thinnest Holiday season in a long time.
