Star Trek 3 director is Roberto Orci

Roberto Orci, who recently split from long-time writing partner Alex Kurtzman, will now add to his career a movie as director, replacing J.J Abrams in carrying on the cult sci-fi saga of Star Trek.

 

Orci’s producing credits include the first Star Trek, The Legend of Zorro, Mission: Impossible III, Transformers, and Cowboys & Aliens. He is the co-creator, along with the same Alex Kurtzman and J. J. Abrams of the famous Fox science fiction series Fringe.

 

With Star Trek 3 (which he is also co-writing), Paramount is now giving the chance to Orci to prove himself as a director; we wish him much success.
